Maharashtra AIMIM Candidate List: Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM has announced candidates for two more seats for Maharashtra Lok Sabha elections. Anees Sundke from Pune and Siddiqui Ibrahim from Osmanabad (Dharashiv) have been made candidates. Congress has given ticket to Ravindra Dhangekar on behalf of Mahavikas Aghadi from Pune seat. BJP has fielded Muralidhar Mohol. Both MVA and NDA have not yet given candidates for Osmanabad seat.
With the announcement of two more candidates, AIMIM has now announced candidates for a total of three seats in Maharashtra. The party has once again given ticket to Imtiaz Jaleel, the sitting MP from Aurangabad. There are 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra. Voting has taken place on five seats in the first phase.
Let us tell you that Owaisi has not made any alliance with any party in Maharashtra. However, he has announced that he will support Prakash Ambedkar in Akola and Anand Ambedkar in Amravati in the elections. While announcing this decision, Owaisi had said that both these leaders come from the family of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, hence will support.
When is voting now in Maharashtra?
Voting will be held on a total of eight seats in Vidarbha and Marathwada regions in the second phase on April 26. These include Buldhana, Akola, Amravati, Wardha and Yavatmal-Washim from Vidarbha and Hingoli, Nanded and Parbhani from Marathwada. By-election is being held from Akola West Assembly seat due to the death of sitting BJP MLA Govardhan Sharma and voting for it will be held on April 26.
In the third phase, voting will be held on 7 May on 11 seats in Konkan, Marathwada and Western Maharashtra. These include Raigarh and Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg from Konkan, Osmanabad and Latur from Marathwada and Baramati, Solapur, Madha, Sangli, Satara, Kolhapur and Hatkanangle seats from Western Maharashtra.
