Company CEO Faheem Haider said that it was quite challenging. He considered this success as a milestone for all those scientists and engineers who used new technologies in this discovery. He said that this success has come after MPCL discovered gas in North Waziristan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa in January 2024. Earlier, the government petroleum company Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) discovered natural gas reserves in Sajawal district of Sindh in November 2023. Was announced. According to media reports, this success was achieved after a drilling campaign to a depth of 2,545 meters in Shah Bandar. It recorded a daily production of 236 barrels.
