Congress has suffered a major setback before the Lok Sabha elections. Delhi Congress chief Arvinder Singh Lovely resigned from his post. Party officials gave information on Sunday. Lovely has sent his resignation to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. In his resignation, he has mentioned all the things against which he was. He has also told that he was against the alliance with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi.
Decision on alliance with AAP
Arvinder Singh Lovely wrote in his resignation letter, “The Delhi Congress unit was against the alliance with the party which was formed on the sole basis of leveling false, fabricated and malicious corruption charges against the Congress Party. Despite this, the party continued to hold elections in Delhi. “Decided to form an alliance with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).” He also said that only three seats were given to Congress in Delhi. He was also unhappy with the fact that out of these three seats, two were given to outsiders.
Target on Kanhaiya and Udit Raj
Arvinder Singh Lovely’s target was on Kanhaiya Kumar and Udit Raj regarding outsider on two seats of Delhi. He said that the candidates were not informed before the announcement. Lovely said that the appointment of Congress spokesperson in Delhi was stopped. There are many reasons due to which he resigned from Congress. Congress has fielded Kanhaiya Kumar from North-East Delhi, while Congress has given ticket to Udit Raj from North-West Delhi.
Displeasure about Congress in-charge
A major reason for the resignation of Arvinder Singh Lovely is the resentment against Delhi Congress in-charge Deepak Bawariya. Recently, Sandeep Dixit had opposed giving ticket to Kanhaiya Kumar in Deepak Bawaria’s meeting. After this, former minister Rajkumar Chauhan had protested in the meeting regarding Udit Raj. After this, Rajkumar Chauhan resigned and told Deepak Bavariya the reason for his resignation.
