• Rape Crime:The accused who committed the rape incident has been arrested by the Thana Kotwali Police from Jammu and Kashmir. The accused had befriended the woman through the Shaadi.com website.

This case was registered in Kotwali police station. Both the victim and the accused are married. The accused is posted in CRPF. The police caught him from his place of posting.

 

Kotwali in-charge Manoj Kumar said that the accused is Arun Kumar. He is a resident of Dalia village in Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh. A woman told the police in her complaint that she lives in Kotwali police station area. She has a son and a daughter.

 

The accused was introduced in the year 2023

The husband often beats her and does not give money to run the house. Therefore, she had put her profile on Shaadi.com. Here she was introduced to the accused in the year 2023. After this, the victim talked to the accused for four-five months.

 

The accused came to Faridabad in July

The accused had told that he would divorce his wife and then live with her. The accused came to Faridabad in July and met her. Here he took a house on rent and started keeping the woman and her children with him. During this time physical relations were made.

 

When the woman asked the accused for money, he threatened to kill her. When the woman insisted, the accused ran away. He had also changed his phone number. A team was formed to search for him. It included ASI Sonika, ASI Ramesh and head constable Ajay of Kotwali police station.

 

The police reached his native village to arrest him. There it was found that the accused works in CRPF. His duty is in Sufiyan of Rampura police station in Jammu and Kashmir. The police reached his posting place and arrested him and brought him here.

 

The police reached to arrest him in plain clothes

ASI Sonika told that it was not so easy to reach the place where the accused was posted. The entire area was hilly and forested and terrorists are often active there. We could not go wearing police uniform. On seeing the uniform, firing would start. Therefore, we had to go in plain clothes. Somehow we reached and brought the accused here.
