On the occasion of completion of one year as US Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti has said that relations between America and India are reaching new heights. Garcetti shared a nearly four-minute video on social media platform X on Monday regarding his tenure in India.
Former Los Angeles Mayor Garcetti was named as the US Ambassador to India on March 15, 2023. He wrote that from diving into vibrant cultures to strengthening the ties between our countries, every moment has been incredible. But what won my heart is the warmth of the people and our shared dreams. There are many milestones and the next chapter of the US-India partnership is being written together.
Shared his experience in India
In the video, shot at the sprawling US Embassy complex in New Delhi, Garcetti talked about his experience in India and US-India relations. He also used Hindi words and phrases in between. He said in the video that in the last 76 years, perhaps 2023 was the most fruitful year in our entire history with many agreements, a lot of paper work and many achievements.
US-India relations reach new heights
The US Ambassador said that he visited more than 22 states and union territories and he visited many places from Wagah to Kanyakumari and from Mumbai to Kohima. He said that from the ocean floor to the stars, US-India relations are reaching new heights, which also includes space. Last year we made great progress in Nisar. NISAR is the first satellite that NASA and ISRO are building together. It will be launched later this year.
