Vibhav Kumar, an aide of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, on Friday (May 17) filed a police complaint against AAP MP Swati Maliwal. He alleged that Maliwal broke into the security of the Chief Minister’s residence on May 13 and made unauthorized entry and created a ruckus there. The complaint said that the allegation that Vibhav Kumar assaulted Swati Maliwal at the Chief Minister’s residence when she went to meet CM Kejriwal is false. Vibhav Kumar has also sent a copy of this to the DCP (North).
Maliwal reached the CM around 8:40
Vibhav Kumar told that Swati Maliwal reached the CM residence on May 13 around 8:40. At that time, the security officer present at the main entry of the CM residence asked about her identity. On this, Maliwal told that she is a Rajya Sabha MP. Swati Maliwal said that she should be allowed to go inside as she has an appointment with the CM. On verification, the security officer told that there is no such appointment in the records. After this Maliwal forcibly entered the CM residence.
‘When asked to wait, she started shouting’
Vibhav Kumar further said in the complaint that the staff of the CM office asked her to wait in the waiting area. This waiting room is in the CM residence complex but not in the main building where the CM lives. When she was asked to wait outside the main building of the CM residence, she started shouting and abusing the CM office staff. At around 9 pm, despite strong objection from the CM office staff, she left the waiting area and reached the main building of the CM residence.
‘What is your status?’
The complaint further said that at around 9:22 pm, the complainant (Vibhav Kumar) reaches the main building of the CM residence where he finds Swati Maliwal sitting in the drawing room. The complainant goes to her and politely appeals to her to follow the proper procedure to meet the CM. At this, Swati Maliwal starts making noise and says, ‘How dare you…stop an MP…what is your status?’
