New Delhi: The growing friendship between India and Egypt is on the way to creating new opportunities for business and employment. In such a situation, aviation companies do not want to shy away from capitalizing on this opportunity. This is the reason why preparations are underway to start daily direct flights between the two countries. Encouraged by the growing traffic between Egypt and India, EgyptAir is considering operating daily flights connecting Delhi and Cairo.
EgyptAir started operations in India more than four decades ago and currently has nine weekly flights to Cairo. Five of these flights are from Mumbai and the remaining four are from Delhi. The airline’s country manager Amr Ali said on Sunday, “We hope to operate daily flights from Delhi to Cairo. This will give the people of New Delhi and Cairo a chance to connect with new opportunities for business and employment.
Air traffic improved between India and Egypt
He said that air traffic between the two countries has improved and transit traffic is also taking place to other places. The airline launched Delhi-Cairo flights last August. Services on this route are operated with A320 Neo aircraft. Boeing 737-8 aircraft are used for flights connecting Mumbai and Cairo. He said these efforts are aimed at promoting Egypt as a tourist destination and attracting more people to visit the country
