Elon Musk has raised a big question about the safety and security of users by making serious allegations of data breach on WhatsApp. In fact, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk criticized Meta-owned WhatsApp, saying that it allegedly exports users’ data every night and some people think it is safe.
Musk said this data is used for targeted advertising, essentially turning users into products rather than customers.

Computer programmer and video game developer John Carmack responded to Musk, asking if there was any evidence that the content of messages was ever scanned or transmitted. “I agree that usage patterns and routing metadata is collected, and if you invite a bot into a chat you are clearly opening it up, but I still maintain that message content is secure by default,” Carmack posted on X.
At present, Meta or WhatsApp have not yet commented on Musk’s allegations. Elon Musk has previously criticized Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta platforms. Earlier this month, Musk accused Meta of being too greedy in taking credit for advertisers running campaigns on its platform. In fact, Musk and Zuckerberg are tough competitors of each other.
Some time ago, both were ready for a ‘cage fight’ – which was also being called the fight of the century. However, this fight never happened.
