Before the results of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 are out, Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh has demanded a ban on exit polls. He says that these exit polls are baseless. He also gave many arguments for this. He told that CPIM party did not contest the elections in Jharkhand, but it was given 2-3 seats. At the same time, Congress contested on 9 seats in Tamil Nadu, but it was given 13 seats.
The seventh and last phase of voting in the Lok Sabha elections 2024 was completed on June 1. After this, many news channels and websites released their exit polls. In these, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA alliance was given a massive majority. After this, the opposition parties termed the exit polls as fake and fabricated.
What did Sanjay Singh say?
Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh said that today’s press conference is on the results of the exit polls. Those who conducted the exit polls have exposed themselves. I am saying this because CPI(M) is not contesting the elections in Jharkhand and they are giving it 2 to 3 seats. In Tamil Nadu, Congress itself is contesting on 9 seats and the exit polls are showing Congress winning 13 seats. BJP has got 34% vote share in Tamil Nadu. BJP itself is not believing this. There are 5 total seats in Uttarakhand, but BJP is winning on 6 seats. Counting of votes will be done on 4 seats in Himachal and 6 seats will come.
Results of 33 seats in Rajasthan
Sanjay Singh said, “Results will come on 25 seats in Rajasthan and we will get 33 seats. NDA’s seats increased in UP, All India Alliance’s seats decreased. BJP fainted on hearing 27% vote share in Kerala. Which exit poll is this? Questioning the history of exit polls, he said that in 2004, exit polls had made BJP win. BJP had won in Bengal assembly, while the results were opposite to this.
