The Congress Working Committee (CWC) and the party parliamentary party meetings will be held on Saturday in which the party’s good performance in the Lok Sabha elections will be discussed mainly. The working committee meeting will be held at 11 am and the parliamentary party meeting has been called at 5.30 pm.
The parliamentary party meeting will include newly elected members of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members. In this meeting, the election of the leader of the Congress Parliamentary Party in the Lok Sabha can also be considered. The leader of the Congress Parliamentary Party in the Lok Sabha will be the Leader of the Opposition.
Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh posted on ‘X’, “The schedule of tomorrow’s meetings of the Indian National Congress is as follows. At 11 am, the extended Congress Working Committee will meet at Hotel Ashok. After that, there will be a press conference at around 1 pm. At 5:30 pm, the Congress Parliamentary Party meeting of all the newly elected Lok Sabha members and Rajya Sabha members will be held in the Central Hall of Parliament (Samvidhan Sadan).”
He said that dinner has also been arranged for the extended CWC and CPP members at Hotel Ashok. Congress has won 99 seats in this Lok Sabha election. In the last Lok Sabha elections, the party had won 52 seats.
Congress will take out a thanksgiving march in 403 assembly constituencies of Uttar Pradesh. Congress says that the responsible citizens and voters of Uttar Pradesh have played a leading role in saving the constitution and democracy of this country and for that we will honour them in the thanksgiving march.
