People are quite worried about the water shortage in the capital Delhi. Amidst the water crisis, politics has also heated up in Delhi regarding this issue. Aam Aadmi Party leaders will meet Lieutenant Governor (LG) VK Saxena on Sunday to resolve the water problem. LG has given time to AAP leaders to meet at 12:15 pm. However, on Saturday, Aam Aadmi Party leaders had written a letter to the Lieutenant Governor to get rid of the water problem. They had sought time to meet Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena at 11 am on Sunday. Regarding this, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena had also targeted Aam Aadmi Party regarding this meeting to be held today.

Dust thrown in the eyes to create drama

VK Saxena had said that the letter written by Aam Aadmi Party General Secretary Pankaj Gupta to LG has not reached the Lieutenant Governor Secretariat. Aam Aadmi Party leaders are throwing dust in the eyes to create drama in the media. Raj Niwas Delhi wrote on the social media platform X, ‘A letter written by Aam Aadmi Party leader Pankaj Gupta, seeking time from LG for a meeting with AAP MPs, MLAs and councillors, has been circulating in the media since Saturday evening. Media people are asking the LG Secretariat if any such letter has been received? However, some people from Aam Aadmi Party came to LG Secretariat at 9:45 pm on Saturday night to hand it over with this letter. When the staff went to pick it up, the Aam Aadmi Party people had left.’

Just a pretense to solve the water problem – LG

Also, LG targeted Aam Aadmi Party in his statement and said that such incidents are not to solve the ‘water problem’, but to get headlines in the media. Aam Aadmi Party people did not give the letter to LG Secretariat. Only a pretense has been made to solve the water problem.

LG is unhappy with the attitude of Delhi government
The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi said, ‘The Delhi government should reconsider its model of governance instead of abusing, blaming and escaping through social media and press conferences. The lack of seriousness in governance is disturbing. As the constitutional head of Delhi, he is unhappy with the attitude of the AAP government on almost every issue related to governance and providing services to the people of Delhi.’
