Tamil Nadu: A total of 63 people have lost their lives so far in the tragedy caused by poisonous liquor. 88 people are still hospitalized, while 74 people have been discharged after treatment.

Tamil Nadu Hooch Tragedy: The death toll due to consumption of poisonous liquor in Kallakurichi district of Tamil Nadu has risen to 61. A total of 225 people were admitted to various hospitals after consuming poisonous liquor after the tragedy that took place in Karunapuram village of the state on June 18. Of which 74 people have been discharged after treatment, 63 people died while 88 people are still hospitalized. News agency ANI has given this information.

Tamil Nadu’s ruling DMK and Chief Minister MK Stalin are also being strongly opposed regarding the Kallakurichi liquor tragedy. Also, the entire India alliance is silent on this issue. On this incident, the Madras High Court had asked the state government to file a detailed report on the steps taken to prevent such tragedies. On which the Tamil Nadu government has sought 10 days from the High Court. The Madras High Court has given time till July 3 to the Stalin government to file the report.

How many people died due to poisonous liquor in Tamil Nadu

According to news agency ANI, a total of 225 people were admitted to various hospitals after consuming poisonous liquor. Out of which 63 people have died. 47 people are undergoing treatment at Kallakurichi Medical College and Hospital in Tamil Nadu. At the same time, 63 people have been discharged after treatment while 32 people have died in the hospital. A total of 20 people were admitted to Jipmer Hospital in Puducherry. Out of which 6 people have been discharged, 5 people have died while 9 are undergoing treatment in the hospital.

At the same time, 52 people were admitted to Slem Medical College. Out of which a total of 22 people have died. 29 people are undergoing treatment while one has been discharged from this hospital after treatment. A total of 8 people were admitted to Villupuram Medical College after their health deteriorated after consuming poisonous liquor. Out of which four have died, two are undergoing treatment while two have been discharged after treatment.

How many people are from which district among the dead

A total of 63 people have died so far in the liquor tragedy in Tamil Nadu. Most of the dead are from Karunapuram, 91 people from here have fallen victim to this tragedy, out of which 26 people have been discharged after treatment, 28 people are still admitted in the hospital while 37 people have lost their lives. After this comes Kallakurichi urban area, 7 people from here while four people each from Madhavacheri and Seshasamudram districts have died after drinking poisonous liquor.

At the same time, the total 225 people who fell victim to the poisonous liquor tragedy include 11 women, 213 men and one transgender. Out of 11 women, 6 have died, three are admitted in the hospital while two have been discharged from here. Talking about men, out of 213, 57 have died, 85 are still admitted in the hospital while 71 have been discharged. At the same time, the only transgender community included in this list has also been discharged from the hospital.
