New Delhi: The roof collapsed at Terminal-1 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. One person died in the accident while many are reported to be injured. A fire department official said that one person died due to the roof collapse while 6 people were injured. They have been admitted to the hospital. The official said that at around 5:30 in the morning, information was received about the roof collapse at Terminal-1 of the airport. Three fire engines were sent to the spot.
The case of roof collapse will be investigated
The Civil Aviation Ministry has formed a team to investigate the accident at Delhi Airport Terminal One. This team will investigate the accident. Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu himself is keeping an eye on the accident that happened this morning. Some cars have also been damaged due to the roof collapse. Looking at the video that has surfaced, it seems that the cars have been crushed due to the roof collapse.
DCP gave this information
DCP Usha Rangnani said that at around 5 am today, the shed extending from departure gate number 1 to gate number 2 outside Terminal 1 of IGIA (domestic airport) collapsed. In which about 4 vehicles were damaged and about 6 people were injured and one person died. The condition of all the injured persons is stable. Teams of Delhi Police, Fire Services, CISF and NDRF are present on the spot.
Many people injured due to roof collapse
According to the information, six people were injured due to the roof collapse at the airport. The injured have been taken to the hospital. All the people trapped at the airport have been evacuated. The injured people are being treated. The car was damaged due to the roof collapse. One person got stuck in the work.
