Chhatarpur: Baba Bageshwar Dhirendra Krishna Shastri has cancelled his birthday program scheduled for July 4 in view of the stampede among devotees in Hathras. Lakhs of people were expected to attend this program. Giving information about this, Dhirendra Shastri said that preparations are going on in a very extensive way for the celebration of his birthday on July 4. We had made extensive arrangements for this. But from the same date, the fair of the people in Bageshwar Dham became very big and a huge crowd arrived. Keeping in mind the safety of you people, my request is that everyone should celebrate the festival from wherever they are. Celebrate the festival by sitting at home and reciting Hanuman Chalisa and planting trees.
Dhirendra Shastri asked to prepare for Guru Purnima
Dhirendra Shastri further said, “The upcoming Guru Purnima is on 21st July. At that time, we will keep a bigger ground of 30-40 acres in a planned manner. We will wait to welcome you all there and you will also do Paduka Puja on Guru Purnima festival. You will also visit Bageshwar Balaji. The gist of what I am saying is that due to excessive crowd, the loved ones coming on 4th July should celebrate the festival from their homes. Our aim is that the elderly should not suffer, no one should fall ill, no one should get upset stomach, there should be no jostling and you should also remain safe. You keep smiling, there should be no pain and the festival should also be over.”
Bageshwar Dham has asked the devotees to prepare for the upcoming Guru Purnima, for which he emphasized on preparing in a planned manner.
21 people died in Hathras stampede
Let us tell you, 121 people have died so far, most of them are women, due to a sudden stampede during Bhole Baba’s satsang on July 2 in the Sikandrarao police station area of Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh. According to the information, the role of the sevadars of self-proclaimed saint Bhole Baba alias Narayan Sakar Hari is being considered suspicious in starting this stampede. It is reported that the sevadars used sticks to control the crowd, which caused the stampede.
