These days, the case of cutting down 1100 trees in the Ridge area in Delhi is making headlines. Meanwhile, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva presented the file documents related to the Chhatarpur tree felling case in a press conference today. Sachdeva said that the file document signed by CM Arvind Kejriwal on January 24, 2024 clearly shows that the Chief Minister not only approved the felling of trees, but also said that the Lieutenant Governor is bound to follow the advice of the Chief Minister and the Cabinet in this matter. Thus, Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena was left with no scope to refuse approval.
‘The entire AAP has been exposed as a party of liars’
Delhi BJP Media Chief Shri Praveen Shankar Kapoor conducted the press conference and said that today AAP ministers have been exposed as first class liars. Shri Vikram Mittal Media Relations Chief was also present. The Delhi BJP president said that for the last two weeks, Delhi ministers Saurabh Bharadwaj, Gopal Rai and other AAP leaders were continuously raising the issue in the media through press conferences that the DDA allowed tree felling under pressure from the Lieutenant Governor.
‘Kejriwal and Gopal Rai recommended tree felling’
Surprisingly, the document somehow obtained by Delhi BJP clearly shows that Chief Minister Kejriwal and Environment Minister Gopal Rai were always aware of the tree felling case and they were the ones who recommended it. Gopal Rai signed the file on January 23 while CM Kejriwal signed on January 24.
The Delhi BJP president said that with the truth of the tree felling case coming out, the entire Aam Aadmi Party has been exposed as a party of liars. Sachdeva said that ministers Saurabh Bharadwaj, Gopal Rai and all other ministers who have made allegations against the Lieutenant Governor no longer have any moral right to remain ministers and they should resign immediately.
