Maharashtra Vidhan Parishad Chunav 2024: Political activities are continuously intensifying for the Legislative Council elections in Maharashtra. Legislative Council elections are to be held in the state on July 12. Before that, all the political parties are busy making strategies by meeting with their MLAs. Along with this, all the political parties are seen saving their MLAs. 12 candidates are in the fray for 11 seats for the Legislative Council elections. The Uddhav Thackeray faction has prepared a special plan for the elections.
Shiv Sena UBT has shifted all its 16 MLAs to ITC Grand Central Hotel. Aditya Thackeray can also stay with these MLAs. In view of the possibility of ‘cross voting’, arrangements have been made to accommodate the MLAs in the hotel.

If cross voting happens, the political math will get spoiled
The math has got spoiled after Milind Narvekar was made the candidate by Shiv Sena (UBT) in the Legislative Council elections. A candidate needs 23 votes to win the election. Shiv Sena (UBT) has only 15 MLAs of its own, on the other hand, NCP (AP)’s second candidate and NCP (SP) supported candidate Jayant Patil will also have to depend on MLAs of other parties for victory.
If there is cross voting during the Legislative Council elections, then Uddhav Thackeray and NCP (SP) supported candidate Jayant Patil will benefit the most.
