Although BJP was successful in forming the government in the Lok Sabha elections, the results of UP are increasing the tension of the party. The party is continuously holding meetings and brainstorming on the poor performance in UP. In this episode, the UP State Working Committee meeting is being held today. National President JP Nadda will also be present in this meeting. During this, brainstorming will be done on the reasons for the defeat in the Lok Sabha elections, preparation for the by-elections and a roadmap will be prepared for the assembly elections to be held in the state in 2027.

In the working committee meeting being held in the auditorium of Ram Manohar Lohia Law University in Lucknow, the main address will be given by BJP National President JP Nadda. Along with National President JP Nadda, CM Yogi Adityanath, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brijesh Pathak will also be present in the meeting. Union Ministers sent from the Union Cabinet to UP quota, national office bearers along with ministers of the state government have also been called in the meeting.

Brainstorming on the results of Lok Sabha elections
In the Lok Sabha elections, BJP’s seats in Uttar Pradesh have reduced significantly compared to 2019. While the party had got 62 seats in 2019, in the 2024 elections, these seats have come down to 33. The vote share of the party has also come down by 8.50 percent. This is the reason why BJP is constantly reviewing the results. State President Bhupendra Chaudhary will present the preamble of this meeting. After this, State General Secretary Anoop Gupta will put forward a political proposal. This proposal will be supported by General Secretary Amarpal Maurya and Sanjay Rai. This political proposal will have a glimpse of the election, review of the election, the road map ahead after the defeat in the election. Not only this, congratulations will also be given in the proposal for the formation of Modi government at the Center for the third time, after this, there will also be a discussion on the issue of spreading confusion from village to village by the opposition in the Lok Sabha elections by spreading the narrative of changing the Constitution and ending reservation. In the meeting, Organization General Secretary Dharampal will discuss the campaigns through which BJP will convey its message to the voters.

Focus on by-elections and 2027 assembly elections

According to sources, the main agenda of today’s meeting will be the preparation for the by-elections to be held on 10 seats in the state and the 2027 assembly elections. The results of the by-elections held on 13 seats in 7 states on Saturday have also shocked the party, so it is possible that the party will learn from this and enter the electoral fray more strongly. Out of the 10 seats in UP where by-elections are to be held, 5 were held by the Samajwadi Party and 3 by the BJP, so the BJP would like to not only win its own seats but also make inroads into the seats of the Samajwadi Party camp.

Eyes will be on loudmouth leaders
After the BJP’s seats decreased in the Lok Sabha elections, statements of some MLAs, former MPs and workers of the party are going viral. Sources say that eyes will be on loudmouth MLAs and workers in the working committee meeting. To ensure that no controversial statement or message goes out in the meeting, all the state officials have been asked to keep an eye on such people. It has been clearly told to everyone that they will not make any statements in the media. Different people have also been given responsibility for this.
