According to the deceased woman’s brother Jagpal Singh, his younger sister Resham was married to Naresh Pal, a resident of Pital Nagari in Katghar police station area. Since the marriage, Naresh used to beat his sister over small matters. His sister had also complained about this to the police. It is alleged that a few days ago his sister was locked in a room and beaten up. The neighbor broke the door and took the sister out of the house.
The neighbor informed the brother about the murder
When a complaint was made in the women’s police station, the police got the matter settled. During that time the accused had assured that no such incident would happen in the future. Jagpal Singh said that after coming back from the police station, Naresh started beating his sister even more. He again assaulted his sister at night. Later, he killed her by slitting her throat with a knife. They were informed about the murder of the sister by a neighbour over the phone. When the family members reached the spot, the body of the sister was lying on the bed. Blood was flowing from her neck.
Forensic team called at the scene
Superintendent of Police Nagar Akhilesh Bhadauria said that the police of Katghar police station area had received information about the murder of a woman. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police immediately reached the spot. The forensic team was also called at the scene. The team reached the scene and collected all the evidence. A written complaint has been given at the police station by the family of the deceased woman. A complaint of murder has been lodged against the woman’s husband Naresh Pal Singh.
Throat cut with a sharp weapon
The woman’s throat was attacked with a sharp weapon. The children of the deceased woman were present inside the house. The family of the deceased woman has accused the accused husband, his parents and two sisters of murder. A case has been registered against all of them under relevant sections. The son of the deceased woman has told that the murder was committed by his father.
