Delhi: Delhi Police has issued traffic alert and guidelines regarding movement on roads in view of Muharram on July 16 and July 17

On July 16 and July 17, in view of Muharram, a procession of Tazia will be taken out in Delhi. Delhi Police has issued diversion and guidelines regarding some roads and divisions. Delhi Police told people to please follow the guidelines to avoid inconvenience. Meanwhile, Delhi Traffic Police said that due to the accident of two loaded trailers on Munirka flyover, traffic will be affected on the Outer Ring Road in the carriageway from IIT to Delhi Cantt. Please plan your journey accordingly. Let us tell you that the biggest procession in Delhi will start from Jama Masjid and will conclude at Karbala located in Lodhi Colony via New Delhi.

Advisory of Delhi Traffic Police
According to the traffic police, a procession will start from Chhatta Shahzad, Kalan Mahal at 9 pm on July 16 and will pass through Kamra Bangal, Chudi Wala, Jama Masjid, Hoj Qazi. On the other hand, another Tazia will pass through the old police post, Qutub Road, Khari Baoli, Hauz Qazi, Chawri Bazaar and Jama Masjid. This Tazia procession will also return through the same route. Let us tell you that the Tazias will reach Karbala directly from Nizamuddin Okhla and Mehrauli. Let us tell you that due to the Tazia procession, people will have to face problems in almost all parts of Delhi. In the advisory of Delhi Police, it was said that at 11 o’clock, following the same route again, it will leave for Karbala, Jor Bagh via Kalan Mahal.

Guidelines issued in Noida too

Let us tell you that keeping Muharram in mind, a traffic alert has also been issued in Noida. Due to the procession, there will be diversion on different routes from 10 am to evening on Wednesday. The Tazia procession will start from Adobe Chowk in Sector 22 and end at Sector 50. Traffic will be diverted on all routes. According to the traffic police advisory, the traffic will be restricted as per the requirement from Noida’s Sector 6 Chowki to Jhundpura Chowki via Sector 8, 10, 11, 12 till the Sector 4 cemetery.
