MP: In Damoh district jail, due to the terror of rats, even the big criminals are scared, rats have bitten about half a dozen prisoners

But these days something similar is happening in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, whose names are recorded in the police diary, who have dangerous crimes registered against them, who have been caught and put in jail, those people are scared of rats and that too in the district jail, not anywhere else but in the district jail.

It might sound strange, but for the past one week, the prisoners and detainees in the district jail of Damoh are spending their nights awake. They get sleep, but there is a fear in their mind and this fear is of rats. These days there is a terror of rats in Damoh district jail and these rats are targeting the prisoners and detainees. Rats are biting the prisoners while they are sleeping at night. In the past one week, half a dozen prisoners have been bitten by rats, who have been treated by the jail management.

The matter came to light when the relatives of the prisoners lodged in Damoh jail went to meet them and the prisoners complained about the terror of rats inside the jail, after which the relatives became active and complained about it to the jail management and the district administration. The matter is strange, but when the jail administration investigated, many prisoners complained that they were bitten by rats, after which the jail management came into action and the prisoners affected by rat bites were sent to the district hospital for treatment.
