Politics has heated up in UP over an order issued regarding the Kanwar Yatra. In Muzaffarnagar, the police has issued an order to write the name of the seller on the shops, dhabas and carts on the route of the Kanwar Yatra. AIMIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has expressed displeasure over this, he has called this decision Hitlerism.
On the social media platform X, Owaisi has targeted the Uttar Pradesh Police regarding the Kanwar Yatra. He has written that based on the order of the Uttar Pradesh Police, now every food shop, shop-cart owner will have to put up a board with his name, so that no Kanwariya buys goods from a Muslim shop by mistake. Owaisi has further written that it was called Apartheid in South Africa and in Hitler’s Germany it was called ‘Juden Boycott’ (boycott of Jews).
Decision in view of law and order – Police
In fact, a statement of Muzaffarnagar SSP Abhishek Singh is going viral on social media, in which, on the question of the media, he says that “Preparations for the Kanwar Yatra have started, there is a route of about 240 km in our district, in such a situation, all the dhabas and food sellers have been asked to write the name of the person working at their shop or the owner on the board. He said that this instruction has been given so that there is no confusion in the mind of any Kanwariya and the law and order situation remains.”
Congress also raised questions on the order
At the same time, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera has also raised questions regarding this statement of the SSP. Targeting the BJP government, he has said that not only political parties, but all right-thinking people and media should also raise their voice against the fanaticism sponsored by the government. Pawan Khera has attacked the BJP and said that we cannot allow the country to be pushed back into the dark ages.
