Bhopal: The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has ordered that all the hotels and dhabas falling on the Kanwar route will have to put up a board with the name of their owners. A similar order has also been given by the Pushkar Singh Dhami government of Uttarakhand. Now in another BJP-ruled state, there is a demand to make it mandatory to write the name of the owner on the shop board. Let us tell you that in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had ordered to write the names of the owners on shops, hotels and dhabas only for the month of Sawan.

MLA Ramesh Mendola, who won with the highest number of votes in Madhya Pradesh, has written a letter to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav demanding an order to be issued in the state on the lines of UP. In a letter to the CM, he has written, ‘Respected, the name of any person is his identity. A person is proud of his name. Every small and big person makes every possible effort to enhance his name. So that every small and big trader, businessman and shopkeeper of Madhya Pradesh can feel this sense of pride in telling their name, the state government should make it mandatory to write the name of the shopkeeper in front of every permanent and mobile shop.
Ramesh Mendola won by more than one lakh votes
Mendola further wrote, ‘By doing this, the identity of the shopkeeper will be established in the society and all shopkeepers will try to give better service to the customers to increase their name and goodwill. This will lead to healthy competition in the business world and the development of the state will be more rapid. I am sure you will issue orders in this direction soon.’ Let us tell you that Mendola is an MLA from Indore-2 seat of Madhya Pradesh and he has the record of registering the biggest victory in the assembly elections in the state. He defeated Congress candidate Chintu Choksey by a margin of 1,07,047 votes in the 2023 assembly elections. This was the biggest victory in the 2023 assembly elections in the state.
