In Uttar Pradesh, employees and officers of the police department are prohibited from making reels on social media while wearing uniform. After UP, a warning has been issued to the police department of Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, regarding making reels in uniform. This warning has been given by Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayanand.
Police department gets defamed
The Bengaluru Police Commissioner has warned police officers and employees against making reels in uniform and while on duty and uploading them on social media. He said that doing so defames the police department. His statement came a day after a circular issued by the Commissioner’s Office.
Making reels is also against the rules of the department
The police commissioner had said that making ‘reels’ in uniform is not only indiscipline but also against the rules of the department. Police is a part of the society. So it is natural that some flaws are found in them too. Therefore, police people should stay away from the trend of making reels in social media.
This hobby is not good for the reputation of the police department
Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayanand said that in recent times, police officers and employees have developed a habit of making reels, shorts and videos in uniform and posting them on social media. This is not good for the reputation of the department.
Further action may be taken
Along with this, the social media unit of Bengaluru Police has also been asked to keep an eye on the reel-making activities of the policemen and inform the senior officers about the matter for further action.
