Bihar Weather: Monsoon has become fully active in Bihar for the last two days. Heavy rains are being recorded in most of the districts of the state, so now there is a possibility of flood danger. According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon will remain active in Bihar for the next one week. In which monsoon is likely to remain more active in South Bihar till August 6 and moderate to heavy rainfall is likely in many districts of North Bihar and South Bihar.
Danger of flood in many rivers
Daltonganj in the northern part of Jharkhand is receiving heavy rainfall, its effect can be seen in Gaya district of the state. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of increase in the water level of low-lying Kosi, Mahananda, Punpun, Son river and Falgu river of Gaya district along with many small rivers of South Bihar. There may be a danger of flood.
According to the Meteorological Center Patna, a low pressure area remains over the Gangetic region of West Bengal and adjoining Jharkhand and the cyclonic circulation associated with it is spread up to 7.6 kilometers above sea level. During the next 24 hours, it is likely to move towards west northwest and turn into a depression in Jharkhand and its surrounding areas, due to which the monsoon will remain fully active till July 8.
Due to the effect of these weather components, heavy rainfall warning has been issued in 12 districts of the state today on Saturday. In this, there is a warning of very heavy rain in Supaul, Araria and Kishanganj. While heavy rainfall warning has been issued in Purnia Madhepura, Saharsa, Banka, Jamui, Bhagalpur Nawab, Gaya and Aurangabad districts. Apart from this, a warning of thunderstorm along with moderate level rainfall has been issued in all other districts of the state today.
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert and issued an orange alert in the capital Patna, Nalanda, Saharsa, Madhepura, Gaya, Nawada, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Arwal, Jehanabad and Bhagalpur districts from 6 am today, warning of rain and thunderstorm. Today, there is a forecast of strong winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 or 50 kilometers per hour in most districts of South Bihar. The Meteorological Department has advised the people of all the districts of Bihar to be alert about rain and strong winds along with thunderstorms.
Last Friday, most of the districts of the state recorded moderate to heavy rainfall at some places, while the effect of thunderstorms was also seen in many districts. High wind speed was seen in Nalanda, Bhojpur, Vaishali districts including the capital Patna. Heavy rainfall was recorded in the southern part of the state, in which the highest rainfall was recorded in Nawada with 82.8 mm, Nalanda 79.8, Aurangabad 76.4 mm. On Friday, intermittent moderate rains were recorded in all the districts and the sky remained cloudy throughout the day.
Drop in temperature due to monsoon
At the same time, a significant drop has also been seen in the temperature of the state. The capital Patna recorded a temperature of 31.2 degrees Celsius with a drop of 3.1 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature was recorded at 35.6 degrees Celsius in Gopalganj. The lowest maximum temperature was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius in Banka. Most of the districts of the state recorded temperatures between 30 and 31 degrees Celsius.
