The arrest was made by conducting a raid in New Friends Colony of Nagar police station area along with Kerala police. The arrested cyber criminal has been identified as Sandeep Kumar Tiwari, son of Ashok Kumar Tiwari, a resident of Gopalpur in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Sandeep has a case of cyber fraud of Rs 1.25 crore registered against him in Kottayam (West) police station of Kerala.

At the same time, the police of Nagar police station handed over the arrested cyber criminal to Kerala police. On Friday, after presenting the accused in the court, Kerala police started preparing to take him to Kerala on transit remand.

Fraud case registered in Kerala

It is said that in Kottayam (West) police station area of ​​Kerala, the cooperative bank manager had registered a case of fraud of Rs 1.25 crore through ATM, after which Kerala police got information about the suspected youth being in Gopalganj on the basis of technical investigation. Kerala police reached Gopalganj. With the help of Nagar police station and DIU team, raids were conducted in New Friends Colony. During the raid, Sandeep Kumar Tiwari, who was living in a rented house, was arrested.

At the same time, the cyber criminal lived with his second wife in New Friends Colony. After the death of his first wife, he married another girl with a child.

What did the arrested accused say?

When Kerala Police interrogated the arrested accused Sandeep Kumar Tiwari, he told that he works in transport. A year ago, the owner of the transport had given him 10 ATM cards. He was asked to withdraw five lakh rupees and transfer it to another account, after which he withdrew the money and transferred it. Now the bank is saying that Rs 1.25 crore has been defrauded through ATM fraud. He has been arrested on this basis. At the same time, raids are going on to arrest other members associated with cyber criminals in this case.
