The story of a ranger of the forest department in Barabanki is going viral on social media. It is alleged that this ranger demanded bribe by ignoring the recommendation of the MLA. He even said that without giving bribe, not only the MLA, but even CM Yogi cannot get any work done in this office. Now the MLA has written a letter in this regard to the DM and the higher officials of the forest department. He says that in this government, the officers do not even listen to the MLA.
The matter is about permission to cut a dry tree in village Asohana of Fatehpur police station area. Deepu Verma, a BJP worker living in this village, had applied for permission to cut a dry tree in Wajidpur. In this regard, Deepu also got a recommendation from BJP MLA Sakendra Pratap Verma on June 29. According to the MLA, when Deepu reached the Fatehpur office of the forest department, Ranger Pramod Kumar was found drunk there. He said that even CM Yogi cannot issue an order from his office without taking money.
The ranger denied the allegations
Along with this, the ranger also misbehaved with the party worker. After this, MLA Sakendra Verma has written a letter to the District Magistrate in charge (CDO) and complained about the ranger. The MLA has also called the ADM, SDM and DFO to take action against the ranger. However, Ranger Pramod Kumar has denied the allegations of the MLA. He said that he was eating food at his residence. Meanwhile, the MLA’s man entered his residence.
MLA opened a front
When he objected to this, the MLA has presented it in an exaggerated manner. On the other hand, DFO Akashdeep Badhawan said that he is not a competent officer. After preliminary investigation in this matter, the report has been sent to the higher authorities. Explanation has also been sought from the ranger twice regarding this incident, although he has not responded yet. On the other hand, MLA Sakendra Verma has opened a front against the officials regarding this incident. He said that even after seven days, no action has been taken on his complaint.
