Even in such heat, Asif Bashir of Pakistan has saved the lives of 16 Indians. Asif Bashir is a resident of Peshawar and is a database supervisor in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Secretariat. Asif Bashir was in Saudi Arabia as a volunteer to help the pilgrims during the Haj pilgrimage. Bashir saved the lives of many people by proving his worth in Saudi. Many leaders and ministers of India have also praised Asif.

During the scorching heat, Asif Bashir not only provided water and life-saving medicines to the needy people, but he also took many unconscious passengers to the hospital by carrying them on his shoulders. Bashir has walked 3 to 4 kilometers carrying many people on his shoulders. Bashir helped at least 26 such passengers who had fainted due to extreme heat. If he did not get help, he could have died.

Indian officials in Saudi praised Bashir for his bravery, after which the world’s attention turned towards Bashir. Minister of the Indian government Kiran Rijiju and former minister Smriti Irani have written a letter praising Bashir. In the letter sent to Asif Bashir, both the leaders wrote that your dedication, compassion and unwavering commitment in serving the pilgrims is really commendable.

In which Kiran Rijiju has written that when the ambulance and medical staff were busy, you have helped people by carrying them on your shoulders. I am impressed by your kindness and bravery. The envoy of the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia will nominate Bashir for the ‘Jeevan Raksha’ award. Asif told that when he was taking the pilgrims to the hospital, he did not see who was from which country. It is a coincidence that most of them turned out to be Indians.
