London: Amid the ongoing massive protests and turmoil in Britain, the Indian Navy’s warship INS Tabar has reached London. On the instructions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this warship has reached Britain, where its crew was welcomed in the River Thames. Let us tell you that many members of the Indian community gathered on the banks of the River Thames to welcome ‘INS Tabar’ and witnessed the grand sight of the iconic Tower Bridge’s dynamic lever being raised to allow the warship to pass, which left on its four-day visit to Britain.
INS Tabar arrived near HMS Belfast (a World War II warship now operated by the Imperial War Museum on the Thames) on Wednesday as part of a well-planned series of professional interactions between the Indian Army and the Royal Navy. INS Tabar is a stealth warship (frigate class) built for the Indian Navy in Russia, commanded by Captain M.R. Harish and has about 280 personnel.
PM Modi’s spirit is ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’
The Defense Ministry said in a statement that the crew of INS Tabar will also provide community service in old age homes to retired pensioners of the Royal Army, highlighting the ideology of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The ship is equipped with a variety of weapons and sensors and is one of the oldest stealth warships of the Indian Navy. The ship is part of the Western Fleet of the Indian Navy.
