Preparations for Independence Day are in full swing in the country’s capital Delhi. Security arrangements at the Red Fort have been tightened in view of Independence Day. A special platform is being prepared for flag hoisting at the Red Fort on the occasion of Independence Day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation from this platform and hoist the national flag. As part of the preparations, the Red Fort is being decorated and security arrangements have been tightened. On Independence Day, people from all over the country will reach the Red Fort and participate in the flag hoisting ceremony.
Preparation for cultural programs
Extensive preparations are being made in view of Independence Day. Security agencies are on alert, security cordon is being strengthened around the Red Fort. Apart from this, the Red Fort is being decorated with lights and preparations are being made for cultural programs. People from all over the country will reach the Red Fort on the occasion of Independence Day.
After India got independence from British rule on 15 August 1947, every year 15 August is celebrated as Independence Day. Preparations have started to celebrate this historic day. On this day, freedom fighters are remembered and independence is celebrated. Flag hoisting, parades, and cultural programs are organized across the country on Independence Day.
Fears of terrorist attack in Delhi
At the same time, there is a possibility of a terrorist attack on the occasion of 15 August in Delhi. Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora has issued an order regarding this. Paragliders, para motors, hang gladers, UAV, UAS, microlight aircraft, hot air balloon, para jumping and drones have been banned in Delhi. This ban has been imposed from August 2 to August 16. In view of the danger, before issuing the order, the Delhi Police Commissioner had also reviewed the preparations by holding a meeting of police officers.
