The name of the youth who died is Aman Gautam. While a youth named Sonu is in police custody. Aman’s sister has alleged that the police beat him to death. At the same time, the family has denied the allegation of gambling. They say that the post mortem report is wrong, the police is responsible for Aman’s death.

Family’s claim

Sister Sudha told that the policemen who arrested Aman, beat him to death in the car. The family demands that the family should be given a government job along with a compensation of one crore. Wife Roshni Gautam told that Aman had gone out for a walk, she had gone to a jagran where she came to know that Aman has been arrested by the police and his health has deteriorated.

Roshni Gautam told that Aman did not have any disease. The matter of heart attack is not true. Wife said that the family has completely broken my family. Our financial condition is not good. How will we take care of our child? Whereas in the information given by the police it was said that on the night of October 11, PRV-4830 received information through dial 112 that some people are gambling in Dr. Ambedkar Park Sector-8 Vikasnagar.

What did the police say

Police told that on this information PRV 4830 reached the spot and the people gambling started running away from the spot after seeing the police vehicle. Two people (Sonu Bansal and Aman Kumar) were caught by PRV personnel. They were brought to the police station in a vehicle for interrogation. While sitting in the vehicle, the health of one person Aman Kumar suddenly started deteriorating.

He told that seeing his health deteriorating, he was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment by the personnel of PRV 4830. Where Aman Kumar was declared dead by the doctors. Legal investigation and inquiry was going on regarding the deceased. The cause of death of the deceased has been found to be heart attack from the post-mortem report. Further legal action is being taken.

The BSP chief said, ‘People are angry. The government should take strict action against the guilty policemen and also provide full help to the victim’s family.’ However, in a statement issued late Saturday evening, the police claimed that the youth died of a heart attack. The post-mortem report of the deceased youth has also come.

Serious allegations against the police

According to officials, on receiving information about gambling, a team of policemen raided Ambedkar Park located in Sector 8 of Vikasnagar on Friday night. On hearing the news of Aman’s death, his family members protested and accused the police of beating him.

The police denied these allegations and said that the cause of death will be ascertained through post-mortem examination. In a statement issued late Saturday evening, the police said that “according to the post-mortem report conducted by a panel of three doctors, no visible injury was found on his body.”
