New Delhi: There is a ruckus in Delhi regarding Chhath Puja. AAP has called BJP anti-Purvanchal. There is a ruckus over the permission of Chhath Puja in Satpula Park. Minister Saurabh says that BJP is anti-Dalit, anti-Purvanchal. At the same time, BJP says that AAP is not allowing the construction of Chhath Ghat by doing hooliganism.
What is the whole matter?
This time too politics has started in Delhi regarding Chhath Puja. Aam Aadmi Party and BJP are face to face. They are accusing each other of disturbing the Puja. Every year there is politics regarding cleaning of Yamuna or building Chhath Ghat, but this time the fight is about the artificial Chhath Ghat to be built on DDA land in Sheikh Sarai area of Delhi.
Aam Aadmi Party alleges that DDA is stopping Purvanchal brothers from worshipping at Chhath Ghat, while BJP says that why is AAP not allowing the construction of Chhath Ghat in Satpula Ground, Chirag Delhi by doing hooliganism?
Dirt spread in Yamuna
The Delhi government has no answer to the dirt spread in Yamuna. Amidst this poisonous foam, preparations for Chhath Puja have started. Devotees are forced to bathe in this poisonous water. The government has turned a blind eye here but Delhi minister Saurabh Bhardwaj is claiming to raise the voice of Purvanchalis in Sheikh Sarai area.
It is being claimed about Satpula Park in Chirag Delhi that Chhath Puja is not being allowed here. On one hand, digging is going on to build Chhath Ghat on the land, while on the other hand, Aam Aadmi Party workers are sitting at its gate and protesting. The work of artificial ghat has started, and politics is also gaining momentum.
What is the controversy?
In fact, at the place where this artificial Chhath Ghat is being built, Aam Aadmi Party supporters have been building ghats there. It is alleged that this time the way to Chhath Ghat has been locked and they are not being allowed to go inside. That is why Delhi government ministers are participating in the protests.
When Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj cornered BJP on this issue, BJP also retaliated and said that Saurabh Bhardwaj and his supporters are stopping the construction of Chhath Ghat. Delhi BJP posted on social media and alleged that Saurabh Bhardwaj is stopping the Chhath Ghat with his goons on the great festival of faith Chhath. When the committee has already taken permission from DDA by making proper booking for Chhath Puja, then why is AAP not allowing the construction of Chhath Ghat in Satpula Ground, Chirag Delhi by doing hooliganism? Why is it stopping JCB machines from building Chhath Ghat? Kejriwal, who is out on bail from jail, keeps getting irritated with the people of UP-Bihar as to why they come to Delhi and now this is another cheap act? Why does AAP hate the Purvanchal society so much?
When is Chhath?
Preparations for the great festival of Chhath are in full swing across the country. Chhath Puja will start from 5th November and the first offering will be made to Sun God on 7th November. The votes of Purvanchal play a very important role in Delhi, that is why every party wants to support them. Delhi is anyway standing on the verge of elections. This is the reason that digging is going on inside to build Chhath Ghat but outside the ministers are alleging that they are being stopped from Chhath Puja.
