New Transfer policy:- Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has announced its new transfer policy. The new transfer policy of CISF will be applicable to non-gazetted officers and jawans.

This new transfer policy will benefit around 1.94 lakh jawans and non-gazetted officers of the security force.

There are four special features of CISF’s new transfer policy. First, preference based posting, second, option of posting near home, third, posting of couples in the same city and fourth, date and time of posting order is to be decided. Apart from this, it has been said that soldiers having expertise in different fields will be given preference in the new transfer policy.

For the first time, soldiers will get posting of their choice

According to Inspector General KC Samantare, for the first time in the history of CISF, non-gazetted officers and soldiers will be able to get postings of their choice. Under the new policy, the first 10 years of the force members’ job will be non-choice. That is, in these ten years, wherever the force members are posted, they will have to go there and do their duty.

After ten years of service, they will become eligible for choice posting. The eligible soldiers will also give a list of ten preferred posting locations to the force headquarters along with the transfer request. The force headquarters will ensure that the soldier or non-gazetted officer is transferred to one of these ten preferred locations.

Retiring soldiers will get a special gift

According to Deputy Inspector General Shrikant Kishore, special provision has been made for the retiring force members in the new transfer policy. Under the new provisions, efforts will be made to give postings near their homes to those force members who are retiring in the next two years, so that they can fulfill their family responsibilities.

Also, they can take necessary steps to settle themselves after retirement. He said that according to the new provisions, these force members will have to mention three preferred locations along with their transfer request. The headquarters will ensure that the force member gets a transfer to one of the three locations mentioned by him two years before his retirement.

Husband and wife can now work in one location

According to Deputy Inspector General Dr. Rahul Jain, the number of women force members in CISF is also increasing rapidly. Special provisions have been made in the new transfer policy so that CISF’s women force members can better balance between duty and home. Under these special provisions, now husband and wife working in CISF will be able to get posting in the same location.

Apart from this, the period of non-choice posting of women force members will also be six years. After six years of service, women force members can take transfer to the location where their husband is working. Even if the husband of a woman force member is working outside CISF, she will still be able to take advantage of this special provision. Let us tell you here that at present about 5800 couples are working in CISF.
