Japan Airlines: Japan Airlines (JAL) faced a cyber attack on Thursday (26 December) morning. Due to which their internal and outer systems were affected. Japan Airlines (JAL) confirmed the cyber attack at 7:24 am local time.
Giving this information on the social media platform X, Japan Airlines wrote, “Our internal and outer systems have been cyber attacked at 7.24 am today. This has affected our outer system. Due to this cyber attack, both domestic and international flights will be affected. Ticket sales have been stopped due to the cyber attack.”
Japan Airlines spokesperson gave information
Japan Airlines (JAL) has accepted the cyber attack. At the same time, the airline spokesperson told AFP that no update has come yet regarding the delay in flights due to this attack. It is worth noting that Japan Airlines is the second largest airline in the country. Japan’s largest airline is All Nippon Airways (ANA).
Cyber attacks are increasing in Japan
There has been an increase in cases of cyber attacks in Japan in recent times. Earlier in 2022, Toyota also had to face a cyber attack. Due to this attack, the company also suffered a lot of losses. Due to this attack, Toyota’s domestic plants were shut down for a whole day.
In June this year, the popular Japanese video-sharing platform Niconico also faced a cyber attack. Due to which the video-sharing platform Niconico also had to suspend its service. Apart from this, in 2024 itself, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport also had to face a cyber attack. Due to this cyber attack, there was a problem in Seattle’s internet and web system. Due to which there was a lot of problem in operations.
