According to reports, the earthquake occurred on Thursday in the Kyrgyz Autonomous Province in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of northwest China. According to the China Earthquake Network Center (CENC), the earthquake struck Aheqi County at 6:21 a.m. CENC informed that the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 15 km.
