You had asked to play practice matches before the series itself.’ In response to this, he said, ‘Hey, I don’t know anything. I don’t know cricket. We are just there to speak on TV. Don’t listen to us. Let it go over your head’.

 

Gavaskar got angry on this statement of Rohit

Rohit Sharma had talked to Star Sports on the second day of the Sydney Test. He had attacked former cricketers and journalists without naming anyone. The Indian captain had said, ‘Those who are sitting inside with a mike, laptop or pen will not decide what we have to do. We know what is right and what is wrong. I am the father of two children, so I have a little brain about what I want in life’.

 

Rohit failed miserably

Rohit Sharma disappointed with both his captaincy and batting on this Australian tour. He played three matches in the Border Gavaskar Trophy but only 31 runs came off his bat. His highest score was 10 runs. Not only this, Rohit Sharma distanced himself from the last Test played in Sydney due to this. Talking about this, the Indian captain had said that it was important to keep the team ahead and so he told the selectors and coach that since runs are not coming off his bat, he should withdraw from this match.
