A 24-year-old man named Anil was found dead in a burnt condition in his car near Ghazipur area of East Delhi. Police gave this information on Sunday and have started investigating the case. The incident took place on Saturday night, when police received three separate PCR calls informing about the fire incident in Ghazipur area. When the police reached the spot, they saw that the Maruti Wagon R car was on fire and Anil’s burnt body was lying inside the car.
Was returning home after distributing car
Police said that Anil was returning to his home in Nawada village of Noida after distributing invitation cards for his wedding to be held on February 14. Police officials also said that Anil was identified at the time when the car was on fire. Police officials who identified the body confirmed that Anil’s body was found at the spot.
Brother called death part of conspiracy
Anil’s elder brother Sumit made two phone calls to the police, in which he alleged that his death could be part of a conspiracy. Sumit said Anil left home to distribute wedding invitation cards on Saturday afternoon but did not return till late night. When the family called him, he could not be contacted. Sumit was informed about Anil’s death from the police at around 11:30 pm.
Dispute behind Anil’s death?
The family alleges that Anil’s death could be due to a dispute with his girlfriend’s family. Anil was in a love affair with a distant relative, but the girl’s father was against the relationship. On the night of the incident, the girl’s wedding was taking place at a nearby banquet hall and Anil had reportedly attended it.
Could not be saved in time
According to the police, the girl’s father had made three PCR calls about a quarrel with his relatives over the relationship. The family believes that the incident could be part of a murder. Eyewitnesses said that many people were trying to break the windows of the car to save Anil, but unfortunately he could not be saved in time and died. The police conducted the post-mortem of the body and handed it over to the family. Investigation is ongoing in this case.
