Providing more details about the case, the police said that after receiving information about the incident late Thursday evening, a patrolling team immediately reached the spot and found the man lying injured.

Doctors declared him dead
He was immediately taken to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital for medical treatment. However, the police said that doctors at the hospital declared him dead. A wave of grief swept through the deceased’s family.

Deceased identified as Suraj
A senior police officer said that the deceased has been identified as Suraj. However, further details regarding his age, address, and background are being verified. The officer further added that prima facie, it appears that the man sustained stab wounds.

Case registered under several sections, search for the accused intensified
Following the incident, a case has been registered under relevant sections of the BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita). The police said that the exact reasons behind the stabbing incident are being investigated. Raids are also being conducted to apprehend the accused.
