A man’s body was found in a parked car near Delhi’s Anand Vihar station, causing a stir. The deceased was only 28 years old.

New Delhi: The body of a 28-year-old man from Bihar was found in a car parked near Delhi’s Anand Vihar station. The incident has caused a stir in the area. According to reports, the car belonged to a railway engineer.

What is the whole matter?
The body of a 28-year-old man was found in the back seat of a railway engineer’s car near Anand Vihar station. According to police, the man, a resident of Bihar, died of suffocation after being locked in the car.

Police said they received information about the body found in the parked car around 7:30 pm on October 31st, and a team arrived at the scene. A police officer said, “The deceased has been identified as Javed, a resident of Purnia, Bihar. His belongings, including a bag, mobile phone, and clothes, were found with him. There were no signs of injury on his body.”

CCTV footage reveals shocking details
Police said, “CCTV footage showed that at around 10:49 a.m. that same day, Senior Section Engineer (Electrical) Guru Pratap parked his car and left for his office without locking it. At around 11:22 a.m., Javed, a mason by profession, who was at Anand Vihar railway station on his way to Bihar, entered the car and sat in the back seat.”

They further said, “At around 1:50 p.m., one of the engineer’s employees came to retrieve a lunchbox from the car and inadvertently locked it, unaware that Javed was inside. The footage shows Javed moving restlessly and trying to open the door between 1:54 p.m. and 3:13 p.m..”

At around 5:34 p.m., when Guru Pratap returned to his car, he found Javed lying unconscious in the back seat and informed the authorities. The post-mortem at GTB Hospital revealed that the death was due to suffocation and further investigation is underway, police said.
