Mumbai: A shocking incident has come to light in Mumbai’s Charkop area, where a son plotted to have his 70-year-old father murdered. The motive behind the incident is said to be a dispute between the father and son over business profits. The accused son, Hamid Syed (41), was a partner in his father, Ayub Syed’s glass factory. The father and son often clashed over work at the factory. The factory closed about a month ago, which further escalated the dispute.
Ongoing Dispute with Father
Hamid’s business partner, Shanu Chaudhary (40), was also involved in the conspiracy. It is alleged that the two conspired to eliminate their father, as he was neither willing to share his profits nor sell the factory land. Hamid and Shanu then contacted a contract killer named Mohammad Islam and struck a deal for 650,000 rupees.
Syed stabbed to death
On the morning of the incident, two men entered the factory and remained inside for approximately an hour. During that time, they brutally stabbed Syed, killing him. After the murder, the weapon was thrown into the factory’s water tank and later recovered by police. During the investigation, police arrested Mohammad Khairul Islam (one of the accused who was awarded the contract), who confessed to the crime. Hamid and Shanu were also taken into custody, while police are searching for the second attacker.
