Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal addressed the public at Jantar Mantar in Delhi for the first time today (22 September) after resigning from the post of Delhi CM. In the Janta Adalat, Kejriwal said, it feels good to be among you, I remembered the old days at Jantar Mantar.
While addressing the Janta Adalat, Arvind Kejriwal remembered the days of the Jan Lokpal Bill movement in 2011. Kejriwal said, it was 4 April 2011 and the biggest anti-corruption movement of independent India started at this Jantar Mantar, which continued for one and a half to two years. The government of that time was also very arrogant, it did not listen to us, they challenged us to contest the elections and win. We also contested the elections, the government was formed in Delhi in the first attempt itself.
Formed the government with honesty
Arvind Kejriwal said, we showed that elections can be fought with honesty and governments can also be formed. Kejriwal, while counting the success of his government, said, after forming the government, he gave people such facilities which they were not getting earlier, free electricity, water, education for people and free pilgrimage for the elderly. Kejriwal, while attacking the BJP, said, we were running the government honestly for 10 years, then Modi ji conspired and put all the big leaders in jail, we came out of jail and resigned.
Reason given for resignation
Arvind Kejriwal had announced his resignation from the post of CM on 13 September, after which Kejriwal submitted his resignation to LG on 17 September. Kejriwal, while referring to his resignation, said, you must be thinking why did I resign? I had come to change the politics of the country, not to do corruption. I do not love the chair, I was very sad from within. That is why I resigned, I worked honestly in my life. In these 10 years, I have earned only your love. After resigning from the CM post, former Chief Minister Kejriwal will have to vacate the CM residence, referring to this, he said, today I do not even have a house to live in.
“I have come to the court of the people”
Arvind Kejriwal said, people said take my house, right now Shraddha is going on, in Navratri I will leave the Chief Minister’s residence and come and live in your house. I had thought that I will not sit on the CM’s chair until I am acquitted by the court. The trial will go on for years in the court, that is why I have come to the court of the people.
If I was dishonest, would I have eaten thousands of crores, would I have done things for free for the people? I have come today to ask you people whether Kejriwal is a thief? Kejriwal told the public, those who think that Modi ji conspired against Arvind Kejriwal, they should raise their hands.
Question asked to RSS
Former Chief Minister Kejriwal attacked BJP and said, RSS people say that they are nationalists, patriots, today I want to ask Mohan Bhagwat ji with all respect that the way Modi ji is sending people of other parties to jail by luring them or threatening ED-CBI across the country and breaking the party and bringing down the government, don’t you think this is a danger to the country. The leaders whom Modi ji himself called corrupt, were included in the party after a few days, do you agree with this?
Arvind Kejriwal said, BJP was born from the womb of RSS, it is your job to see that the party does not become corrupt, have you ever stopped Modi ji from doing this.
Before the Lok Sabha elections, it was said that BJP does not need RSS, has the son grown so much today that he is challenging his mother? Didn’t you feel sad? Today I want to ask Mohan Bhagwat ji and RSS workers, didn’t you feel sad? You people together made a law that retirement will happen at 75 years, leaders like Advani ji were retired, you are saying that this rule does not apply to Modi ji? Is he different?
“Manish Sisodia put in jail for 2 years”
Arvind Kejriwal said, education was ruined in 75 years, but after 75 years a person came, Manish Sisodia, who built such schools where everyone gets good education. Modi ji put Manish Sisodia in jail for 2 years, these two years have been wasted not for Manish Sisodia but for the country. Do you agree with such actions? I hope you will answer. I want to tell all the RSS workers to definitely think.
“If Kejriwal seems honest, vote for him”
Former CM Arvind Kejriwal referring to the upcoming assembly elections of Delhi said, this upcoming election is not an ordinary election, it is Arvind Kejriwal’s litmus test. He further said, if you feel that Arvind Kejriwal is honest then vote for him otherwise don’t vote for him. This broom is a symbol of honesty, press the broom button only when you feel that Arvind Kejriwal is honest.
