Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal met and interacted with party MLAs, councillors and former candidates on Thursday. During this, he slammed BJP and PM Modi for US President Donald Trump’s tariff, harassment of AAP leaders by making fake cases and the poor governance in Delhi. He said that we will sacrifice our lives for this country, but will not make any kind of compromise for power, party or family.
Arvind Kejriwal said, President Trump imposed 50 percent tariff and Modi ji has surrendered before Trump. The whole country knows that he has mortgaged the whole country for one man. He said that there is an alliance between Congress and BJP. BJP sent our leaders to jail in fake cases, but even after cases like National Herald, no one from the Gandhi family went to jail. BJP ruined Delhi in just 6 months and made people realize that AAP’s government was very good.
What did he say about ED action on Saurabh Bhardwaj?
Arvind Kejriwal also mentioned the raid at AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj’s house. He said, ED raided Saurabh Bhardwaj’s house on Tuesday. ED officials arrived at around 7:15 AM and investigated the whole day, recorded the statement and by around 8 PM in the evening, they finalized the statement. ED officials were ready to go back when the Assistant Director leading them sent the recorded statement of Saurabh Bhardwaj to his senior officer and asked him for his opinion on the statement. This is where the whole story started and it was 3 AM. ED officials again came to Saurabh Bhardwaj and said that this statement is very long. It is of no use. So let’s remove the unnecessary part from it.
Targeting BJP
Kejriwal further said, Saurabh Bhardwaj opposed the officer and said that this is my statement and you cannot change it. Saurabh Bhardwaj explained in detail in the statement that when did he hold meetings to speed up the construction of the hospital and what instructions did he give to the officers. All these proofs were in favour of Saurabh Bhardwaj, but the ED officer said that there is no need for this, let us remove them, but Saurabh Bhardwaj refused to remove any part of the statement.
Arvind Kejriwal said that after this the ED people started pressurizing Saurabh Bhardwaj and indirectly started threatening to arrest him. Saurabh Bhardwaj also remained adamant and told them that I have made up my mind that I have to go to jail for two years. After Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Satyendra Jain, Sanjay Singh came back from jail, I have accepted that I too have to go to jail for two years and I also know that I will get bail in two years. After this the ED people tried to scare Saurabh Bhardwaj’s wife, but his wife said that he never stays at home, take him away, it does not matter to us. Saurabh Bhardwaj’s entire family stood with him and he stood firm with full strength.
Arvind Kejriwal said that my purpose behind telling this whole story is that ever since man was born, wherever politics has taken place, such things have been happening. In the olden times, people used to kill each other. Now they send them to jail. When a very dirty ruler comes, he sends his opponents to jail in false cases.
Attacked Congress
Arvind Kejriwal said that many people come to me with the suggestion of making a compromise with them. But, the politics of compromise does not work. It is wrong to think that a compromise will be made in a closed room and the public will not come to know. The reality is that this does not happen. The public comes to know everything. The public is not stupid. Today there are many discussions in the whole country. Someone says that Mayawati ji has made a compromise, someone says that Owaisi has made a compromise. Now most of the people have started saying that Congress has made a compromise.
Kejriwal said, we are going among the people and people are saying that BJP has sent five big leaders of Aam Aadmi Party to jail, but why is it that not even a single leader of Congress has gone to jail? They are making noise about National Herald. I read on the internet what is National Herald. It sounds very dangerous. From its facts it seems that this is a clear case. They made a completely fake case and sent AAP leaders to jail, but no one from the Gandhi family has gone to jail yet.
“There is an alliance between Congress and BJP”
Arvind Kejriwal, while referring to an interview of Subramanian Swamy, said that in it he said that I filed a case in the court. Because of that Rahul Gandhi would have gone to jail, but I got a call from Modi ji that he should not be allowed to go to jail. After that I backed off. In the 2014 Haryana elections, the names of many people including Robert Vadra used to come up regarding the land scam. BJP won the 2014 Haryana elections in the name of brother-in-law. But, now there is no mention of him. All the cases including 2G and coal scam have been closed. There is something, the public understands everything. The public is not stupid.
The AAP leader further said, there is a discussion among the public that there is an alliance between Congress and BJP. We did not come to form an alliance, but we came for the country and will keep fighting for it. Never do the politics of compromise, do the politics of the country. If ever we have to compromise for the country, then we will sacrifice our lives, we will compromise. But we will not make any kind of compromise for power, party, ourselves and family.
“BJP has ruined Delhi”
Arvind Kejriwal said that for the last 6 months, there is a BJP government in Delhi. I believe that whatever God does, he does it for good. In these 6 months, BJP has ruined Delhi. Perhaps God wanted to show how good the Aam Aadmi Party people were. Today, the people of Delhi are remembering them. I meet many people every day. Some say that if elections are held in Delhi today, AAP will get more than 60 seats. Some say more than 65, while some say 70 out of 70 seats.
Arvind Kejriwal said that during AAP, there was no power cut in any area of Delhi for 10 years. All the inverter shops were closed, but they got all the shops opened by cutting the power every day. I live in Lutyens Delhi, the most posh area of Delhi. The Prime Minister’s house and the Rashtrapati Bhavan are a little far away. Every day, power goes off five times in my house for half an hour. What will be the condition of the rest of Delhi? Private school fees have increased, roads are broken, Delhi’s condition worsens with a single rain. Sewers are clogged. Where we had sent water, now water is not coming there. People are in a very bad condition. Slums are being demolished everywhere. These people have made life hell for the poor.
Arvind Kejriwal said that the condition Congress had created in Delhi in 15 years and people had made up their mind to remove it, after which AAP government was formed. Today BJP has created the same condition of Delhi in 6 months. But now the people of Delhi will get a chance to remove BJP only after 5 years. BJP has created a bad condition not only of Delhi but of the whole country.
Angry at US tariff
Arvind Kejriwal said that on one hand America imposed 50 percent tariff on India. Because of this all the exports of our country have stopped. Many companies including textile, jewellery, gems will be closed and lakhs of people will become unemployed. When Trump imposed a 25 percent tariff on Canada, Canada imposed a 50 percent tariff in response. In five days, Trump had to bow down and withdraw the tariff. When Trump imposed tariff on the European Union, they imposed double the tariff on America. Here too, Trump had to bow down and withdraw the tariff.
Kejriwal further said, when Trump imposed a 50 percent tariff on India, Modi ji also abolished the 11 percent tariff on cotton. In response to Trump’s tariff, India should have imposed a 100 percent tariff on America’s cotton. But, on August 28, Modi ji also made the 11 percent import duty zero till December. I don’t know what is the compulsion of Modi ji that he is kneeling before Trump. Everyone knows that Modi ji has mortgaged the whole country for one man. I think that now these people are guests for a few days. These people will make such a miserable condition that their name will be written in black letters in the history of the country.
“We will rule again in the next election”
Arvind Kejriwal instructed AAP MLAs, councillors and former candidates to stay among the public. It has been learnt that the BJP government is now going to end the subsidy on free electricity. The free electricity being provided to the BJP in Delhi is giving them a lot of trouble. That is why these people are going to stop giving subsidy and free electricity. We just have to stay among the public and help them in their happiness and sorrow. This is the message given by God. We will get a chance to rule again in the next election.
