Recently, the Bengal government had ended the four-year-old partnership with Adani Group for the Tajpur port project costing Rs 25,000 crore. Along with this, it has decided to issue a new tender.

Tajpur port is considered a strategic infrastructure project for eastern India. That is why the Adani Group along with the Bengal government is also eyeing it. However, both the West Bengal government and the Adani Group have not given any information about the discussion held in this meeting.
