Afghanistan: Baghlan province was most affected by floods due to heavy rains, more than 300 people died due to floods.

ISLAMABAD: The UN Food Agency has said that more than 300 Afghan people have died in flash floods in Afghanistan. More than 1,000 homes were also destroyed in Afghanistan’s northern province of Baghlan due to flooding, Ajnaly said. The United Nations World Food Program said on Saturday it was distributing biscuits to flood survivors. The flooding follows unusually heavy rainfall in Afghanistan over the past few weeks.

He said the “widespread devastation” had resulted in “considerable financial losses.”
