This marriage is being discussed a lot in Jammu and Kashmir. CRPF jawan Munir Ahmed, a resident of Bhalwal, Jammu, has married Manel Khan of Pakistan. Manel is a resident of Punjab region of Pakistan. Manel is the daughter of Mohammad Asgar Khan, a resident of Kotli Fakir Chand, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Punjab state of Pakistan. The couple got married on May 24 last year.
Married through video conferencing
After the marriage got delayed due to non-availability of visa, the couple got married in a unique way through video conferencing. In such a situation, now after getting officially married, Pakistani girl Manel has become the wife of Indian Munir. After marriage, she got a 15-day visa and reached Jammu via Attari-Wagah border to meet her husband.

When Manel crossed the border late at night and reached India, her in-laws were waiting for her on the other side of the Indian border. The new daughter-in-law was welcomed traditionally at the border and brought to her in-laws’ house. As soon as this news reached the village, a huge crowd gathered to see the Pakistani bride. Munir Ahmed is currently posted in CRPF in residential district Shiv Khori. In such a situation, every activity of Munir has been monitored for security reasons.
