On Vinesh being disqualified, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said that there should be a thorough investigation into the technical reasons behind the discussion of Vinesh Phogat not being able to play in the final and it should be ensured what is the truth and what is the real reason behind it.

At the same time, AAP MP Sanjay Singh said that this is an insult to the country and not Vinesh. The Government of India should intervene immediately, if the matter is not accepted then boycott the Olympics.
