The RG Medical College case was heard in the Supreme Court on Thursday and Tuesday. The Supreme Court had ordered central security in the hospital. On Wednesday, DIG K Pratap Singh visited the hospital. After this, he also went to Lalbazar Police Headquarters from RG Kar. He returned to the hospital at night.
151 CISF personnel will be deployed
Usually there are 80 to 120 central personnel in a company force. Out of these, 70 are active. The rest are engaged in other activities. In such a situation, the commanders considered two company forces sufficient for the security of the hospital. About 151 soldiers including a superintendent will protect RG Kar.
There is an uproar after the incident of rape and murder of a trainee doctor in RG Kar Medical College on August 9. Doctors are protesting inside the hospital demanding justice and security for doctors and health workers. They are still on strike. The wave of RG Kar movement has spread across the country.
