All procedures have been completed to bring the Luthra brothers back to India from Thailand; the accused brothers will be handed over by the Royal Thai Police in Bangkok for their return to India.

All the paperwork has been completed to bring the Luthra brothers, who were absconding in connection with the devastating fire at a Goa nightclub, back to India from Thailand. The two accused brothers will be sent back to India from Bangkok by the Royal Thai Police on Tuesday morning and are expected to arrive at Delhi Airport by afternoon, where the Goa Police will formally arrest them.

Schedule for Return from Thailand to India
The Royal Thai Police will put the Luthra brothers on a flight from Bangkok to Delhi. According to police sources, the two brothers will arrive at Delhi Airport (likely Indira Gandhi International Airport) around 1:45 PM on Tuesday via an IndiGo flight. A team from the Goa Police will already be present at Delhi Airport. A team from the Delhi Police will also be there to assist them. As soon as the Luthra brothers set foot on Indian soil, the Goa Police will arrest them at the airport.

Goa Police to Seek Transit Remand
After the arrest, the Goa Police will produce the Luthra brothers directly before the court. In the Delhi court, the Goa Police will inform the court about the arrests and request transit remand to take them to Goa. After obtaining the transit remand, the Goa Police will take the two brothers to Goa by late night, where they will be produced before a local court for further legal proceedings.

It may be recalled that Thai authorities had detained the two last week after it came to light that they were residing illegally in Thailand. A devastating fire broke out at the ‘Burch by Romeo Lane’ nightclub in Arpora, North Goa, on December 6, resulting in the tragic death of 25 people. The Luthra brothers had fled to Thailand the same night.
