The petitions of former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav, former Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, RLD President Jayant Chaudhary and Ghazipur MP Afzal Ansari will be heard in Allahabad High Court today.

Hearing will be held on the FIR registered in the case of campaigning in violation of Covid protocol in Gautam Buddha Nagar during the UP Assembly elections in February 2022.

The hearing will be held in the afternoon in the single bench of Justice Sanjay Kumar Singh. In today’s hearing, the UP government has to file its reply.

The government has to tell whether it will withdraw the case registered against these leaders or not.

The High Court has already stayed the execution of the charge sheet filed in the trial court against these leaders in this case.

In the last hearing, the UP government had said that it would take a decision in this matter only after the Lok Sabha elections are over, but the court has asked the UP government to file its reply today itself.
