America: As the police became strict on the protests by Palestine supporters, the tents of the protesters started being uprooted, the police arrested more than 2500 people involved in the protests.

Boston: Police removed pro-Palestinian tents at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) early Friday. Not only this, the police expelled the protesters from the campus of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. The crackdown came just hours before police removed a tent at the University of Arizona and fired tear gas at protesters. Police arrived at the MIT campus at 4 a.m. and gave the protesters 15 minutes to leave.

Police is taking action
The university president said that 10 protesters who did not leave the scene were arrested. Meanwhile, the crowd gathered outside the complex raised slogans but was dispersed by 6 am. In Tucson, police fired tear gas at protesters on the University of Arizona campus Thursday night. Early Friday in Philadelphia, police detained people who had been camping on the University of Pennsylvania campus for more than two weeks. Protests began about three weeks ago at Columbia University in New York City. It has since spread to college campuses across the country.

More than 2,500 people were arrested
The protesters are trying to draw attention to the deaths in the Israel-Hamas war and are calling on their educational institutions to stop doing business with Israel or companies supporting the war. More than 2,500 people have been arrested for demonstrating in support of Palestine. MIT President Sally Kornbluth wrote in a letter on Friday’s arrests that she has a responsibility to ensure that the campus remains safe and that everyone feels free to express their views.
