US President Donald Trump has once again made a major statement regarding his tariff policy. Trump has stated that soon every American citizen (except the wealthy) will receive a $2,000 payment. This amount will be paid from tariff revenue collected by his administration.
Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social, “Those who are against tariffs are fools!” He claimed that during his tenure, America became the richest and most respected country in the world, with very low inflation and record-high stock market growth.

Trump also stated that the US is earning trillions of dollars from tariffs, which will not only be used to reduce the $37 trillion national debt but will also be distributed as dividends among ordinary citizens. According to him, every American (except those in high-income groups) will soon receive at least $2,000.

In his post, he also mentioned the record-breaking achievements of the US economy. Trump wrote, “401K (retirement savings) are at an all-time high. New plants and factories are being built across the country.” However, Trump did not provide any clear information regarding the implementation process or timeline for this plan.

US Treasury Secretary Said This
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told CNBC in August that the administration’s focus is on reducing the $38.12 trillion national debt, for which tariff revenue is being used.
This statement comes at a time when the US Supreme Court is investigating whether Trump abused his executive powers by imposing excessively broad tariffs. Trump called the court’s investigation completely baseless and stated that tariffs are his most powerful economic weapon. “We’re making trillions of dollars. This policy is making America strong, prosperous, and self-reliant,” Trump said.
